The AI explosion in searches
According to a recent international survey (Higher Visibility, 2025), 71.5% of users have already tried using AI tools for online searches, while 14% now use them daily. Yet, 79.8% say they continue to trust traditional search engines primarily, especially for general or commercial queries.
Experts, however, see the trend changing rapidly: Gartner estimates that by 2026, traditional traffic from Google and Bing will have dropped by 25% thanks to the rise of AI Search experiences.

New solutions, such as Google’s AI Mode and bots like ChatGPT, offer dialogue, immediacy and personalised answers to complex or specific questions. Users “chat” with the AI and receive information synthesis, suggestions, analysis, without having to visit multiple websites.
